Winter Storm 2025 North Carolina Forecast. This comes after winter weather moved through friday, ending a snow drought for parts of central north carolina including raleigh and durham. Winter storm cora began to really ramp up in the southern plains during the morning and afternoon hours of january 9.

Much of north carolina is forecast to receive some combination of snow, ice and freezing rain starting friday and continuing into saturday morning. The foothills and our north carolina border counties are under a winter weather advisory.
